Padre Pio's devotion to St. Michael the archangel was a special one. The Prince of the Heavenly Host, his invaluable presence, gave Padre Pio a great assistance during his life and Padre Pio usually encouraged everyone to discover St Michael the Archangel and place themselves under his protective wings.
From 1-27 September 2010, there will be a photography exhibition, under the direction of Vincenzo Comodo, Sociology teacher of the Pontifical Athenaeum "Regina Apostolorum" in Rome, to highlight Padre Pio's special devotion to St Michael. In the Church "San Pio da Pietrelcina" all visitors will have the possibility to admire a series of images prepared through the use of modern technology and enriched by helpful explanations. This travelling photography exhibition will be open on Thursday 9. September 2010 at 17.00 o'clock at the presence of His Excellency Most Reverend Archbishop Michele Castoro, -Archbishop of Manfredonia-Vieste-San Giovanni Rotondo-, Fr Francesco Dileo - Rector of the Shrine "Santa Maria delle Grazie" -, Giulio Siena - Director of the magazine "La Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza" - and Vincenzo Comodo.
